Pupuk Kaltim Distributes Rp100 Million in Aid to NTT Earthquake Victims

Jakarta: PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) distributed aid worth Rp100 million for the residents affected by earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The aid was received directly by the Regent of Manggarai Herybertus Geradus Laju Nabit in Manggarai Regency.

The Chief Executive of Pupuk Kaltim Rafli Yandra said that aid is a demonstration of the company's concern and solidarity to the disaster-affected inhabitants. The support was focused on meeting the basic needs and society needs during the post-disaster recovery period.

“This support is a part of Pupuk Kaltim’s commitment to care for through PKT Proaktif Program, as well as the demonstration of community’s presence to continue to contribute to the society. At this time, we are here in NTT to help (our) brothers and sisters who are suffering a misfortune,” said Rafli, as quoted by in the written statement, Thursday,  August 20, 2026.

The distributed aids were tailored to the needs of the communities in urgent condition, including staple food, sanitation equipment, nutrition and healthy needs, and essential supplies for evacuation shelters.

For staple food, Pupuk Kaltim distributed 1.390 items, including mineral water, rice, granulated sugar, and instant noodle. Besides food stuffs, aids included sanitary products for adults and babies. That equipment is aimed to support the communities’ needs whose living conditions have not yet fully recovered.

Pupuk Kaltim also allocated nutrition and health packets, such as milk for children and elderly, baby food and complementary biscuits for breastfeeding infant, traditional baby oil, mosquito protection supplies, and tarpaulins for the evacuation shelter needs.

“We hope it can help to meet basic food needs of the communities, especially those who are still in the emergency condition and need logistic support,” continued Rafli. Strengthening Post-Disaster Response Rafli expresses his condolence following the earthquake that affects people in NTT, especially Manggarai Regency. He hopes the people are given strength to face the recovery period and the disaster response process runs smoothly.

Through PKT Proaktif, Pupuk Kaltim carries out the company’s social responsibility program by providing support to the society, including in the emergency situation due to disaster.

Pupuk Kaltim also monitors the development of the condition in reality and opens an opportunity for further support to help the post-disaster management process.

“We express empathy and support to all affected communities. Pupuk Kaltim hopes this aid gives benefit, and becomes a part of joint efforts to help get through the emergency response phase until the recovery process,” expressed Rafli.

Company Secretary of Pupuk Kaltim Anggono Wijaya said the aid distribution was carried out by coordinating together with the Government of Manggarai Regency. This effort was done to ensure the aid was received and distributed to the affected communities in accordance with data in reality.

The composition of aid also took into account the needs of the communities from various age groups and conditions. Besides food, Pupuk Kaltim gave attention towards special needs of babies, children, and the elderly.

“All aids are distributed through the government to ensure that it reaches the right target. We hope this support can help to ease (them), especially to meet basic needs until sanitation and health nutrition during the recovery period,” said Anggono.
