Prabowo Says Global Confidence to Indonesian Auditors Increases

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto says that global confidence to Indonesian auditors has risen.

That thing is proved by Board of Audit (BPK) is elected as a Chairman of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for the 2028-2031 period.

Moreover, Prabowo added that BPK is also elected as a member of the United Nations Board of Auditors (UNBoA) for the 2026-2032 period.

“The global confidence to Indonesia also rises, BPK is selected as a Chairman of International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, INTOSAI for 2028-2031 period, and a member of United Nations Board of Auditors for 2026-2032 period,” said Prabowo at the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) in the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 14, 2026.

According to Prabowo, BPK has an important role in monitoring how every rupiah of public’s money is used appropriately.

Throughout 2025, the recommendation of BPK’s audit result succeeded to safeguard the state’s finances as much as Rp12 trillion.

Prabowo stated that the improvement of BPK’s role in the international scale shows a higher confidence to Indonesian auditors in carrying out the audit function and maintaining financial accountability.
