KPK Seizes Evidence Worth IDR9.06 Billion in West Lombok Corruption Investigation

Jakarta: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized evidence valued at IDR 9.06 billion as part of an alleged corruption investigation involving West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ).
 
The evidence included IDR1.25 billion in cash withdrawn from an account belonging to the President Director of PT AMGM (Perseroda), IDR20 million in cash found at the home of the CV Dyas Karya Konstruksi (CV DKK) treasurer, IDR489 million held in a CV DKK account, and a Toyota Alphard valued at IDR 1.2 billion.
 
KPK Acting Director of Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein added that investigators also found a land purchase receipt belonging to Ahmad Zaini’s wife, valued at IDR3.3 billion, as well as property ownership certificates belonging to LAZ, valued at IDR2.75 billion.
 
The KPK had conducted a sting operation (OTT) targeting West Lombok Regent LAZ on July 20, 2026.
 
The operation resulted in 20 arrests across West Nusa Tenggara and Jakarta, with eight individuals brought to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta for further questioning.
 
On July 21, 2026, the KPK named LAZ and the President Director of Perseroda – identified by the initial “S” – as suspects in an alleged conflict of interest case related to the procurement of goods and services.
 
The anti-corruption agency also named both individuals, along with the President Director of PT MSI – identified by the initials “AG” – as suspects in a separate alleged bribery case involving the West Lombok Regency Government.
