Jakarta: The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) announced the completion of 15,845 Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP), including office buildings, storage warehouses, retail outlets, and logistical equipment.
“83,000 KDMPs have successfully secured legal entity deeds and are set for construction in the near future,” Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said during the 79th Cooperative Day at GBK Arena in Jakarta, as reported by Antara on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
He added, “19,539 KDMPs are already under construction, with around 35,000 units targeted by the end of the year.”
The Ministry is also preparing management personnel to oversee the KDMP’s operations. Deputy Cooperatives Minister Farida Farichah said the training program, scheduled from July 17 to 31, 2026, will encompass business management, administration, and public service delivery.
KDMP operations are slated to begin in August, with Ferry inviting President Prabowo Subianto to formally inaugurate the launch.
